Put the world back in the world. With a miracle? No, with an emotion capable of igniting your imagination: wonder, which brushes away the dust that deposits on everything day after day. Being surprised is a thousand words, a thousand name, a thousand verbs. It is becoming lit up, enchanted, enraptured, amazed, relaxed, connected, surprised. Like lovers, poets, children and at times lunatics, for whom nothing is ever obvious, expected, well-known, and everything seems to continuously throb with new energy, shine with new light, turn new colours, radiating happiness, love and knowledge everywhere.
BAM Circus – The Festival of Wonders in the Park is all of this. And your eyes will see all this, and more. It is the flight of the tight-rope walker, balanced over the void. The piroette of the acrobat, who challenges the laws of the sky. The laugh of the clown, who sparks off joy. It is theatre, dance music, friendship, the pleasure of being together in the middle of nature feeling united, simply human, in the most human of feelings: Wonder.
The big party in the name of wonder and amazement is back: from 26 to 29 May 2023 BAM Circus – The Festival of Wonders at the Park, conceived and directed by Francesca Colombo, Cultural Director General of BAM, Fondazione Riccardo Catella returns.
An appointment in the nature of the Parco Biblioteca degli Alberi di Milano that involves all the inhabitants of the city, big and small. For three days you can take part in an imaginative journey that ignites dreams, creativity and emotions. BAM Circus will be an exceptional event, which will keep everyone in suspense and upturned noses.<
How? Thanks to the protagonists who will animate the Festival of magic, mystery, beauty and joy. From the first acrobatic crossing of Milan to the acrobatics of performers who will dance suspended in the sky, up to the itinerant theater shows, every moment will be designed to welcome the Wonder in the city and within us. A real three-day journey, full of performances, laboratories and workshops that will melt away the stress of everyday life like a gentle balm capable of giving well-being, humanity and big smiles.
The mystery will lead to new, unexpected encounters with other passers-by of BAM and with the artists of an unusual circus. BAM Circus, in fact, is more than a magical park, it is the green agora where anything can happen, where amazement is also a word exchanged with those you don’t know, but who are next to you. It is the gym in which to train and cultivate wonder through a journey of discovery of new colours, sounds, shapes and sensations.
BAM Circus is all of this: a journey through nature poised between reality and illusion, where the unexpected fills you with amazement and the beauty makes you jump, while you embrace your travel companions to welcome the magical intensity of the circus. A unique international festival of its kind, free and open to all, which brings street theater and contemporary circus arts to the city in contact with nature in the large BAM botanical garden.
